The Center for Research in Politics, Economics and Society (CIPES) is a Research Unit comprising fifty-two researchers from the Lusófona University, at Lisbon, and the Oporto Lusófona University. We also count with an International Advisory Board composed of researchers from prestigious International Universities. We publish four journals: ResPublica, Fluxos & Riscos, Revista Lusófona de Ciência das Religiões e R-LEGO.
CIPES main objectives are to promote the research at Lusófona University, to invest heavily in internationalization, through the creation of a network with foreign universities, to organize international scientific events, to foster the creation of an interuniversity network of scientific journals.
Another relevant objective is to establish protocols of cooperation with universities, institutions and prestigious business companies, both nationally and internationally, with a view to the development of research programs aimed at providing answers to current issues.
This R&D is the merge of the three previous R&Ds – Centre of Research and Social Studies (CPES) and Centre of Political Science, International Relations and Security (CICPRIS), Research Centre of Economics and Management (CEO).
